NIKE AND TWO COATS

I'm wearing coat from one of my favourite labels MANGO, (I have to dedicate a whole post to gush about some of my loved items from them), also wearing a leather-esque jacket inside you can make out some parts of it. My go to denims form Topshop and these lovely neon fusion between blood orange and pink red Nike trainers. 

This was my get up for a shopping trip, very unlike me to dress this down for an outing. 

I was and still is the crazy girl who will wear heels for a long day of shopping, it needn't matter how long I'm going to be on my feet or the distance I would be walking. So long as I liked how I look, all pretty with good posture as you do with heel, well that's if you know how to walk in them.  But I have to admit this change is equally great.  hardly any makeup, in trainers although the coat gave the look a lift, picking it up a notch from a complete dress down. Still you could say that it can't get anymore dressed down once you get in trainers. I was never a big fun of trainers, my thoughts on them were that they should only be allowed in the gym, on a short commute between your house and the gym while you have on the complete training outfit. I don't know why I thought that, perhaps somewhere in my making the rule on when to wear trainers was disclosed to me hehe!. I'm glad I don't think like that anymore. I don't think there should be restriction, rules if you will in fashion. It should be about free expression. I wear these trainers a lot now, so long as I feel it's appropriate for the occasion then it's on. Have I suddenly started seeing them in a new light because it's on trend? I am not sure but it's possible, which would be okay but I what I find more beautiful is the confidence to try somethings new, something that hasn't been forecast by anyone - 'originality'. 

Which leads me swiftly onto this conclusion, if there's going to be any dogma with fashion, it should be that we don't try to follow a trend, or someones style, or 'rules' (whoever made those) to a T. We do what feels right for us, being comfortable, but also be willing to experiment, it's okay to get inspiration from others, (the point of this blogs and many others) and get out of our comfort zone. To get a feel for your own sense of style, to discover whatever your style is.
