With Fenja getting ready to dress some models.
Lovely Daniella sewing in her model.
The only photo I took of the man himself. Giving all his looks the OK.
A peek of the catwalk. Feeling relieved and taking a breather
It's already been weeks after London Fashion Week, but I have been relieving my time there by browsing through my camera photos and reveling in the memories of my experience backstage. Having not had much experience with fashion week except this year I assumed the excitement for most people was the shows. However, after this London Fashion Week experience I think it's not only the shows that people are excited about but the people watching, trend spotting, catching up with fashion friends, street style shoots and been photographed seemed the main attractions. Personally, favourite moments were behind the scenes, watching ethereal clan of models getting morphed into the designer's dream work.
I had an amazing time assisting as a dresser for Jean-Pierre with my fashion buddy Fenja. I helped to dress models, steamed dresses and then floated around to do bits and bobs. It was a surreal experience - a mass of organised chaos backstage. Loads of people, cameras, make-up and hair people, press, and the designer's team yet everyone knew what they had to do and the time they had to complete tasks. I liked seeing the whole production and learnt a lot from the experience.
Great post and images. Glad to hear that you had a good time. :)
